Job Site Analysis

Job site analysis can provide useful information for use in comparison with the results from work capacity testing to determine whether a worker can return to work or; to help identify potential problems in the work place to assist with a smooth transition back to work. Job site analysis breaks down the basic duties of jobs into the recognizable factors of work, including strength, body dexterity and limb coordination, and provides information regarding weights and frequencies of lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling as well as body postures and limb coordination during a normal work day. This information can be collected prior to performing functional or work capacity testing for comparison purposes, or following the assessment to identify areas of compromise or limitations to assure a safe and successful return to work.
